VinMaps™ was started in 2001 in order to fulfill a growing interest in high quality wine territory maps.

Each VinMap's focus (whether AVA, DOC or country) is a manifestation of thorough research, development, and design.

The VinMaps passion is represented through distinctive, majestic, geographic landscapes with the hope of encouraging further depth, texture and exploration of the wine experience.

Through spatial relationships between wine grape and place, a unique perspective and understanding may be realized. Not to mention, this results in really beautiful maps!

My mother's love and talent for cooking instilled in me a deep appreciation for the art of creating and blending fine food and wine. My father introduced me to physics, astronomy and the sciences. Through this interest in art and science, geography and cartography have become the means by which I express my passion for wine. From southern and northern California, to Burgundy, France, and to the Pacific Northwest, my vision for premium wine maps has grown.
I take the raw geographical data and develop it into a means of communicating wine at its base level – the physical, from which grapes are sown and the myriad of wine types and qualities may be appreciated.
